FILOVIA originates from Germany

Founder Brian Selt is a research and development engineer with decades of practical experience in interior coating research and development. During a trip to China in 2016, he accidentally met Mr. Wang Maoxu. During the conversation, the two were like old friends who hadn't seen each other for many years. When they learned that they were both in the same industry and doing the same job, they were even more amazed. During the conversation, Wang Maoxu constantly consulted and asked about the development of European chemical coatings, only to realize that the backwardness of domestic coatings was more than five or ten years. European interior coatings have gradually entered the era of (bio based) coatings.

And European countries have been implementing regulations since the 1980s to restrict chemical products containing APEO components. However, the APEO project for detecting harmful substances in domestic coatings has not yet been implemented in 2016, and most Chinese consumers do not know what APEO is. They only know that formaldehyde, benzene, VOCs, and heavy metals are chemical carcinogens.

Mr. Wang Maoxu deeply feels that the demand in the Chinese market is huge, and we cannot cater to the market by developing low-priced products. We must create high-end and environmentally friendly low emission coating products for Chinese households. After years of communication and exchange with Mr. Brian Selt, both parties have reached a consensus agreement to conduct research and production of zero formaldehyde, zero VOC, and zero APEO coatings in China in 2019. And add other functional features, such as formaldehyde purification, antibacterial and anti mold, stain and abrasion resistance, velvet feel, skin feel and other high-performance indoor coatings, to meet the diverse and democratic purchasing characteristics of China.

In 2023, FILOVIA will begin sales in the Chinese market. Mr. Brian Celt invited and proposed that Mr. Wang Maoxu control production and sales in China, focusing on the Chinese market, and requiring that all coatings and raw materials purchased for sale in China must meet European environmental standards.

And the product must pass: French A+testing, Belgian VOC testing, French CMR regulatory testing, German AgBB/DIBt total carcinogen testing, providing a green and healthy home environment for every Chinese household.
